Amazing Decor with Cowhide Rugs

Decorating with Cowhides for any decor style......

Here are some ideas of how Cowhides can blend with other decor style. They really add an elegant touch in some of these styles and in some it offers that unexpected element that was needed...

This room has charm and a softness about it.
Love the Grey and Cream together.

This Cowhide really stands out in the room.
It adds that unexpected element, it's a great accent piece!

Love this on the table top with the industrial lighting.

Loving all these.  Great versatility.

This hide is so amazing and soothing in this bathroom.

Makes this room feel soft and relaxing.
Pulls the Gold in the mirror and chair together.

So modern and chic!

This hide on this French chair gives the chair some personality!
 What a conversation piece.

This hide offers the unexpected with this Modern decor.

Did you notice the cowhide on the chair cushions?  Beautiful!

This room has such a romantic feel about it with the White hide.

Great addition of Black and White to the room.

This has somewhat of a masculine feel to this room for you bachelor's out there.

I hope these pictures will inspire you and give you ideas on how to use a Cowhide rug in your home.

Hope you all have a very Blessed day!

Roundtop, Texas

I am not usually a spur of the moment gal, but this past weekend I was.  My husband and I decided to take a trip to the Rountop's Antique fair.  There was so much to see in so little time.  I purchased an old bed for my daughter and I am going to either paint it a creamy white distressed or a black distressed.  Can't decide which one to go with.  Either one will go with her room decor.  What are your thoughts or suggestions?

I also meet some really nice people.  I meet a couple that builds these really cool pieces of furniture with a Zinc top and the base is made of Cedar wood.  I purchased for my shop one of the Zinc dining room tables.  This table can go inside or outside.  It is very versatile.  I can't wait to get it set up in my shop.  Once I do, I will post more pictures.  I have some really cool ideas of how to display it.  I also bought an old olive bucket light that is really cool and rustic.  I am going to hang that over the table.  Below is a picture of the table.  What do you think?

I also purchased some Cowhide rugs.  I have not been a big fan of these, but now I am.  I am going to place a cowhide rug in a Champagne color under the table.  Such a cool look!  I have purchased other cowhide rugs and can't wait to display these.  I am going to do a post really soon on just Cowhide rugs.  They aren't just for the Cowboy decor.  I will show you some pictures of many different decor styles that you can use a Cowhide rug with.  They are just gorgeous and no two hides are alike.   I have definitely changed my perception about them.  Maybe you will too.

I hope you all have a very wonderful Easter Weekend!  May God bless each one of you and your family's for he is Risen!  Amen!  Have a Blessed day!

Welcome to my space...

I am thrilled you could stop by.  I am new to this blogging trend and hope you will tag along with me on this new journey I am traveling.  My name is Angie, I am a Southern girl and I have a passion for custom painting and distressing furniture.  I love decorating and I always have my eye open for unique and inspiring decorating ideas and pieces to paint.  My favorite color would have to be Turquoise.  I have a wonderful husband and 3 beautiful daughters that the Lord has Blessed me with.  My family is very important to me.  I strive to keep my priorities in the order of God first, Family second and all else third.  I am human and sometimes I get my priorities out of balance. I am still learning how to balance it all.  When I do my husband is the first to let me know and the Lord gently nudges me to get back on track.  I am a work in progress and I give all credit to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the talent and passion he has instilled in me.  I pray over each piece of furniture that I custom paint and ask the Lord to bless whomever purchases it.  I can custom paint your own piece of furniture or architectural piece.  (That is if you live close to Baton Rouge) On this new journey I hope to share decorating ideas, furniture finds and my before and after makeovers, new trends, new inventory Décor Rouge receives and inspirational stories.  I have and online store http://www.decorrouge.com/ and I also have a place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where I sell furniture, home décor and specialty gift items, etc.  I look forward to seeing where this journey takes me.  I hope this blog will be a blessing to you and inspiration.  May you have a Blessed day.
